Post GTF Chromium

Does anyone have an opinion on using GTF (glucose tolerance factor) Chromium polynicotinate instead of other forms of chromium (such as picolinate) for Hypoglycemia? Thank you, Mike

Mike,
I think chromium picolinate is just as good for hypoglycemia as the GTF type. Dr James Balch in his book "Presription for Nutritional Healing" says, that the following are very important in stablizing blood sugar levels: Brewer' yeast, B complex, Zinc, magnesium & calcium, C and E.

I have found that manganese helped me as much as the chromium and Dr.Balch says that most people that have hypoglycemia are defcient in this trace mineral.
Take Care

Question

Harry,

Just found out I'm hypoglycemic. Been doing the diet and feeling better. Do you have any info on how much of each of the vitamins/minerals you mentioned should be taken a day? Thanks.

Thumbs down

Hi
You probably need to take 300-400 micrograms daily Chromium piclinate. 200mcg is normal. Manganese 10 mgs , Zinc 50 mgs daily. B complex 50 mgs daily it is important in proper digestion and food absorption.

God Bless----Harry

I suspect that I'm hypoglycemic but I'm not sure. I had a test about 10 years ago and the doctor said I was borderline.

Can someone please tell me what the main symtoms are?

Thank you,

Olivia
