Question information on Lactoferrin

I'm trying to find information on different kinds of immune boosters & anything to help cancer patients stay alive. Has anyone tried Lactoferrin? I like to hear from people on these boards instead of from advertisers.

Question

is Lactoferrin the trade(commercial) name of the med? Using the generic name to search MAY produce better results

good luck

Lactoferrin is derived from human breast milk. I've read a lot about it on the net, but would like to hear from someone who has used it, or knows something about it. It seems like it is mostly sold in a colostrum supplement. I know I can't take colostrum because of it's promotion of growth hormones. I don't know if lactoferrin by it's self would promote growth hormones.
