Post colon cleanse

I am interested in cleansing my colon for the first time. Are there any websites, products that you recommend? Also, I was wondering what to expect for my first clean out. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have been using colon cleanser's for many years. I would recommend purchasing a high quality cleanser from a health store versus the flavored ones sold in drug stores. I use Jason Winters although there are others. As a first timer, I would suggest using it every day for at least a month. Thereafter, several times a week. It's also suggessted that it be taken 1/2 hour before breakfast. You're making a very wise decision by keeping your colon clean.

This sounds like pretty extreme measures. I am not trying to "dis" Mr. Varriano's advice here, but I would check other sources, too, to determine appropriate usage and frequency. This SOUNDS like an awful lot to put your body through.

A VERY gentle cleansing product I've discovered (without any invasive procedures, i.e. enema) is "Quick Cleanse" from ZAND (they do have a website).

This is a series of capsules, of herbs, taken at specific times throughout the week for a 1-week cleanse. If you suspect the need for more liver cleansing, one type of the capsules may be taken for a week PRIOR to the actual cleanse process, and proprer procedure is all included in the easy to understand directions. As I said, it is extremely gentle in its' actions on the body. The procedure may also be enhanced by simultaneous fasting or some other such complimentary therapy.

MOST (healthy)cleanses are designed to cover only a specific time length (i.e. 7-14 days), and CAN cause serious liver, intestine, or absorption problems if used too frequently. Four times a year is generally adequate for most folks, more should probably be under supervision of a health professional.

Also, prepare yourself before hand by working your diet towards what you KNOW to be a healthy diet, and continuing to improve eating behaviors/choices after the cleanse, to support the whole process.
