Well, shoot! I went to see where you were from, and lost what I had already written! So if you see an unfinished comment floating out in Cyberspace, I likely did it!
By all means, research your symptoms -- you can do it at health food store -- I prefer one privately owned -- so many of them are now owned by pharmaceuticals -- and I don't do "pharmacy." A good Osteopath who believes in nutrition and supplements (therefore, more nutrition oriented,) can be very helpful. But if you study on your own, you'll discover that there are some good Thyroid extracts, at Health Food Store, and taken with Ginsing, my base temp (taken for 10 minutes under the arm before getting out of bed) has increased, as has my energy level. I had to increase the amount I was taking SLOWLY, until I began to feel better. I also take Chromium to keep from craving sweets, and lecithin and Ginko Phytosome for memory -- all related to the thyroid being "tired."
Don't do what I do unless you research, as you could get into trouble without a roadmap!
Hope this helps,
b
