Azmacort & Atrovent taken at the same time?

I'm usually on Albuterol & Azmacort. But after going to the ER last week, the Doc also gave me Atrovent. Anyone know if it would be ok for me to take Azmacort & Atrovent at the same time instead of spacing out the dosage? Thanks!

Re: Azmacort & Atrovent taken at the same time?

I don't see a problem with it because Atrovent is an anticholinergic/bronchodilator and Azmacort is an inhaled steroid. I take Atrovent and Xopenex in my neb and then I take Advair and Qvar (Advair DPI and Qvar MDI) right afterwards. If you still are hesitant, though, I would check with your doctor or pharmacist.

Yes, taking them at the same time would be perfectly fine.

If you can, it would be even better to take the atrovent like 20 minutes before the azmacort but I'm not watching and I won't tell anyone if you don't.

I wonder if Azmacort has any long-term side effects? Anyone know? Maybe I should start another post about that since that's kinda off topic? Thanks!
