Re: has anyone took ortho-try-cyclen lo?????

I've been on it for over 7 months. I love it!!!! My skin has kept completely clear since I've been on this.

It has half the hormones of the regular OTC (which I didn't like). This dosage is just right for me, I guess.

But be aware that it can really vary from person to person. It just depends on how *YOUR* body reacts to the combination of hormones.

Good luck! Hope you like it as much as I do!

I took it for a month and it made me break out really bad. Did anyone break out badly initially but then it got better over the next few months?

Re: has anyone took ortho-try-cyclen lo?????

I was just prescribed Ortho Tri-cycline LO by my gyno 4 days ago, and unfortunately cannot start taking it until my next cycle in January. I, too, am hoping that it will help clear my skin as well as alleviate my horrible cramps.

My gyno gave me a 3 month trial. She said it can take up to 3 months for your body to get used to the medicine and to try and tough it out. I am nervous to start it because my body always acts weird to different types of medicine. Plus, I have never ever taken any form of birth control so I will not have anything to compare it to.

I just don't want to get discouraged if I start breaking out the first month! If anyone has any words of advice for me I would appreciate it. I am new to this whole thing! Thanks!
