The doctor recently prescribed Zyprexa 10mg, it has helped a lot. It has calmed her "abbusive behavior" without making her spaced out. We still have rough days but mostly she is a lot easier to deal with.

I, to, am new to the board...I just posted about my mother and her hallucinations and confusion.
Mother is also taking Zyprexa 2.5 mg. A higher dose 3.7 found her slumped over her chair with weakness in her left side...a side effect of Zyprexa.
In additon to prescribing Zyprexa, the doctor also precribed Neurontin, a mood elevator...that really helps mother....you might ask your doctor about this
Hope I have been helpful
