sun downer sydrome is a illness when someone who has dementia(confusion) gets restless at about the time when the sun goes down. the reason for this is unknown but according to the experts they say that the person gets day and night confused so even though they have been up all day long they feel refreshed as if its time to get up and start a new day..you can talk with your doctor about putting the member on a seditive like haldol or a sleeping agent like ambian which has very few side effects the is also some new drugs on the market that can slow the progression rate of dementia and alzhiemers..as far as you all getting alzhiemers they say it is not genetic.. but then again the dont know the cause so there fore they cant pin point it or cure...
