Post Memantine for dementia

Several months ago I posted a message about a new drug, Memantine, for dementia. Today I received a newsletter from Medscape.com with the astounding results of the study done on this drug. However, it also stated the drug would probably not be approved by the FDA until 2003. It is available in Germany, where they have been prescribing it for over 10 yrs with astounding benefits. It sounds like a "Miracle" for people suffering from dementia. Are any of you familiar with this drug, or have any of you ordered it from Germany?
