Hormonal acne

i heard there was a pill for hormonal acne? that men can just take it....does anybody know about this?

do you mean something that will stop your hormones producing estrogen, or something that iwll reduce estrogen output?

Spironolactone is a drug that is sometimes used for acne patients because it is anti-androgenic. I know men are able to take it, but the side effects for them can be bad like becoming sterol. For women, the most common side effect is menstrual irregularities but if you are on a bcp it is not a problem. I have been on 50 mg of spiro for about a month and a half and the results have been wonderful.

i take avodart which is what ur talking aobut, but there are other medicines similar to it.

estrogen along with an anti-androgen is very effective in clearing your skin cause they both work as anti-androgens.androgens ( in males and females) is what causes your sebasious glands to produce more sebum.
