Thankyou for responding. I have ADD (Attention Deficiet Disorder) to start with. I have been forgetful & misplaced things all my life. In the past, I have worked with AD residents & for that job, learned a little about it. Now, at 55, I have recently seemed to notice a slight speech problem (Such as saying "Heckel & Jide" for Jeckel & Hide) and sometimes having to struggle to say words correctly. Also, a slightly different type of memory loss. For example, my 18 yr old daughter moved back with me 8 months ago. Before she arrived,I cleaned off a bathroom shelf for her, where I had been keeping my face cream. A few days ago, I went to put my face cream away, & tried to put it on HER shelf. It took me a couple of secconds to realize that I no longer keep it there. It was at that momment that it occoured to me that I could have the very early signs of AD. I looked into the CAUSES of AD, and of what I read, I have 4 reasons to suspect it. 1. I have been married 5 times, & ALL of them hit me n the head from one to many times. 2. I have been an alcoholic in the past. 3. At one time, I ATE about 1/3 of a tube of flouride toothpaste, & also have always swallowed small ammounts frequantly. 4. I have drunk enough diet pop from aluminum cans to SUPPORT a recycling business! I have told this, along with my suspicions, to my doctors, & they do not seem in any way alarmed.
I would like some honest, unbiased opinions. What do you think? Thanks again,
Donna
