withdrawing from hydrocone

Hi everyone! I'm a new member....I've been reading the post and replys for awhile
and this seems to be an informative and helpful site.

I have been taking hydrocodone for about 3 years nows and have become very addicted. Can I withdraw myself? A doctor once told me that I could take over the counter meds to treat the headaches, body aches, diarea and the other aches and pain that go with withdrawing. I can't go into a detox center, I have to continue working everyday, I need help! Any suggestions?

Thanks ahead for any help..

Re: withdrawing from hydrocone

Do your have a personal physician? If so, he/she maybe can help you with this privately, without you having to "check in" somewhere for detox.

But you should definitely not try to "guess" as to how to wean and what other drugs to take to help the process.

Good luck,
