Unhappy I grow more facial hair than my boyfriend!! Please HELP!!!

I'm 22 now and i've had this problem since I was 14. Unfortunately, when the hair started to grow very light, i didn't know that tweazing and waxing it would make it worst.

Now, i'm at the point where i shave almost everyday (and if i skip a day, my chin and sideburns feel really ruff). It's so embarassing and I hate it. I'm still a student and don't make a lot of money, so I can't afford laser hair removal. Plus, because i'm black, most lasers are not compatible with my type of skin. I'm just so desperate and i really, really can't take it anymore.

I have PCOS and have tried Diane-35, but except for making sick everyday for almost 1 year, it didn't do much for my facial hair problem and my acne. Vaniqa is not available in Canada, so i can't have access to that.

Is anyone going through this? Is there any way i can get rid of those damn hairs. I don't let my boyfriend touch my face anymore and he thinks it's really bad. Please help anyone!!

thanks,

VQ

As soon as I saw your post subject I was going to urge you to see a doctor to be tested for PCOS, but you've already been diagnosed with it.

I'm not sure if there are any great ways for getting rid of facial hair (or any body hair for that matter). Many, many people are frustrated by unwanted hair for this reason

As far as I know, your options are:

Depilatories, like Nair. I think they might make a facial formula but I'm not sure.

Shaving (not ideal, obviously)

Waxing, tweezing, threading - but I think you've tried these already

Electrolosis. You should look into this.

Lasers (not a option for you, you said)

Buffing- They make "sanders" that buff off hair, or you could just use a pumace stone. But in my experience buffing off hair can really irritate your skin, but you could try it.

I just don't want hair to grown anymore....it's ruinning my life. Plus on top of bing overweight, have acne, bad skin and depression, it's totally not a good combination. I'm just tired of it. But i guess that's one of another God's "gift" that I have to live with. I wonder sometimes why i just have all this sh** happening to me.

Well you said you wax but you said make it worse. Sound like you shaved your face I hoped you dont shaved your face because that will make your face worse. If you dont want to wax it than use the finishing touch.

Re: I grow more facial hair than my boyfriend!! Please HELP!!!

i work 2 jobs and go to school. waxing akes too much time so i strarted to shave because that way i could get rid of all the hair in like 2 minutes. i know there's really no solution for me. i'm stuck with all that hair. i was hopiong that somebody somewhere had a miracle recipe or something. at least i tried. but now i know i'm sentenced to life with this condition. just like the weight and the acne. Some of us are just out of luck.
