I'm 48 yo and the 100/50 dose has done wonders for me-the best thing I've ever tried and after being diagnosed when I was 3 yo I've tried everything. The only thing I'm taking now is an OTC decongestant. If I stop either, i.e. forget to get my prescription filled or don't make it to the drugstore, then I'll immediately start having a bit of problem. I was using my rescue inhalator before Advair 2-3 times a day and now it may be 2-3 times a month. There is always new research on meds so if it's working well for you daughter, I wouldn't be overly concerned with the dosage. If they keep improving the meds over the next 5-10 years then she'll be on a different and better med in a couple of years anyway. As a life-long asthmatic, I can honestly say that none of the meds that I've used have caused any deterioration in my overall health or any long-lasting side effects. I never outgrew my asthma as some young people do but with the new meds at least I have a pretty normal life. Good luck to you and the little ones. Lots of hugs to you both. cg
