can low thryroid cause a peron's face to look bloated?

Will taking a lower dose of medication (synthroid) than is needed cause a person's face to look bloated and puffy? Thanks.

Having a puffy face is indeed a symptom.

You might do well to look up Dr. Lowe and see how he feels about low doses of T4 meds. It will surely enlighten you!! Good Luck

Dr. Lowe is a famous dr on the internet that has some interesting opinions on thyroid treatments.

ABout the puffy face...that is indeed a sign you are still hypothyroid despite being on medication. Many people remain hypo on T4 drugs because a lot of people are poor converters. You may need T3 in addition to T4 in order to stop all the hypo symptoms.
