can eating alone chicken raise cholesterol level?

i know that chicken has a great deal of cholesterol, but it can have low levels of saturated fat. my diet includes eating chicken about 3-4 times a week. i don't eat eggs tho. my intake of saturated fat is relatively not that high. i try to keep it at about 30% Daily Value( i dont know how many grams that is).

what are my chances of developing high cholesterol?

Avoid fried chicken. Remove skin and fat from chicken before cooking or at least avoid eating the skin and fat. Choose cooking methods which don't require added fat such as roasting or grilling.

steven,

Chicken is a good choice because of it's relative high level on monounsaturates and low saturates. NOTHING beats a perfectly roasted Chicken. Even the skin isn't too bad except for the calories.

(Don't bread and fry though....that's GREASE not chicken!)

Hello, I would also like to add that it's the boneless, skinless, chicken breast you want to stick with as well as not frying it. The dark chicken meat does have sat. fat in it. The white meat is the leanest part of the chicken.
