I've been on depakote now for almost 5 weeks, and I believe it may be working. Instead of having a constant pain, it seems to help break my headache cycle. Now my migraine comes and goes several times a day.
Relpax is great! Unlike Amerge and Imitrex, it actually gets rid of the migraine. Unfortunately, it's a little pricey. But when you find something that gives you any kind of relief, it is worth the price. If anyone has any med that they are on and it's helping, please..by all means, share.

yer lucky, then. relpax doesn't do anything for me. it's like taking a sugar pill. i took depakote for several months a few years ago as a "migraine preventative." it didn't work and it made me sick as hell.
I'm up to a 1000 mg and the depakote is making me extremely ill. But it is really helping with my migraines but I don't know how much longer I can put up with these side effects.
