Smile Skin tags

Hi.....this is my first time to post here, although I come here alot and read the posts. Ok, here goes......I was wondering if any of you have ever had any problems with skin tags? I have them all over my neck, it makes me so self conscious I wear a turtleneck whenever I go anywhere. I have been thinking about having them surgically removed, I just keep putting off going. I would appreciate any replies from anybody who have had this problem.

Re: Skin tags

Skin tags are very common especially as people get older.
I have a few on my neck but have friends who had many of them. One friend had them removed and it left little black marks that faded shortly afterward.

ICK- me, too! I have a couple on my neck that my hair usually hide, but with summer ponytails coming..........I have noticed a couple on my back and arms, too! I wonder if insurance covers removal, or is it considered "cosmetic"?
No answers here, sorry, but tons of commiseration!

Cool Re: Skin tags

I've got lots of skin tags too. Sometimes wonder if they're genetic as other members of my family also have them. I've had mine since I was young. Used to work with a doctor who would tie a piece of suture round them, pull it tight & tie it like she was sewing up a wound. That meant the blood supply was cut off, so they turned black & fell off

I've got a few on my neck & my pet cockatiel tries to pull them off
