Unhappy Question on Pulmicort

I am now starting to use pulmicort inhalation solution in my breathing machine.

The Dr. said to rinse out my mouth after each use. Rinse with water or what? I forgot to ask her that. Also, does anyone know if Pulmicort, Maxaire inhaler, or Aculate 10mg. can raise your blood pressure? Does any of these make you jittery? I also use Albuterol/Chromolyn inhalation solution as well. I'm not sure which is worse....having trouble breathing a little bit, or having high blood pressure. I took it in the Dr.'s office and it was 130/86!!! It's NEVER been that HIGH!!!! Needless to say, I have been REALLY stressed with anxiety and it won't go away!!!!

Re: Question on Pulmicort

I used to take Pulmicort before Advair. Interestingly enough, that's about when my high blood pressure started. But I still have it, so I don't know. Anyways, rinse with water. I got thrush in my mouth once when I was on Pulmicort. Its nasty. So definately rinse after every use! If you rinse with something else, you might not be able to taste it if its still in your mouth.

So, just rinse with water? What made you get thrush? Did you not rinse?

Re: Question on Pulmicort

Apparently I didn't rinse good enough. Yes, just rinse really good with water. I usually rinse twice or three times. If you can still taste the medicine, then you didn't rinse good enough. And I brush my teeth after using my inhalers. My hubby pointed out to me that my breath smells funny afterward!

Re: Question on Pulmicort

What raises your blood pressure is long & short acting bronchodilators, a lot 4 too long. It's only temporary though!
