Unhappy What to do about childhood vaccines?

My toddler has Autistic symptoms, as I described in my last posting. I chose to hold off on vaccines until we get some info Re: treating Leaky-gut syndrome, and even after that we probably won't immunize him unless there is a guarantee that it would not cause any adverse reactions or damage to him. I hear of kids going into full blown Autism and stopping speaking all together. If you have any info please reply. My main question is for my 6 month old who developed asthma, after receiving his 2 month immunizations. I haven't brought him back for his 4 month shots because he has been so sick with the asthma, and recently had RSV, and was hospitalized. Currently he is on an inhalable steroid and albuteral treatments. His immune system is clearly compromised, especially with the added steroid. However, the doctors don't seem to care about whether he is sick or well they want to push the vaccines regardless of the possible consequenses. This angers me, as I am a pediatric nurse, and know it is not wisdom to immunize when the child is even the slightest bit ill. Besides the fact that I heard from a research doctor, that they are now considering adding more vaccines to the list, and putting all these viruses in one shot. In the long past they wouldn't give vaccines together, and you'd never see a doctor order a shot for a sick child, now they give the newborns 4-5 at one time. My point is many more children are being diagnosed with Autism than in the past. I am torn because they push the fact that kids die from not being vaccinated, but than I think of the long term effects of the vaccine reaction on my other son. Is it clearly the mercury in the vaccine or a combo of the mercury and virus? Are there any SAFE vaccines especially for kids with weak immune systems due to allergies? I can't decide whether to get my boys immunized, out of fear that it could ruin their lives. Please help with feedback. Thanks krisyd

Hi there,

I posted a couple of weeks ago about concerns with my son after havingthe MMR vaccine, but no one replied.
He is currently have problems and has just been referred to development check up, hearing was ok. So they are going through the list. I was worried mainly with the suspected risk of crohn's rather than autism. My email address is jade.elizabeth@btinternet.com
I havent found anyone else other than uou who have even mentioned MMR. Please email me as I'd love to chat, I have tried saying to hubby that I am worried about something being wrong. But he was against the MMR. But I felt that the risk of brain damage or ecen death from measles were greater.
Take care
Jade

My son had autistic symptoms after he had the MMR shot. After the chicken pox shot though, he went into a full blown deterioration where he stopped responding to his name and lost almost all of his language. You are wise to be cautious about immunizing. You can always wait until he is older.
