I had a normal pap in March 1994 then in Nov 1994 I was diagnosed with 1B cervical cancer. I had radiation internal and external. Then I had radical hyst and vaginal reconstruction in 1999 after damage to vagina from radiation. Now I just had my first abnormal pap with low grade cells. Has anyone ever had abnormal pap after hyst? I am having a colposcopy in early May with my gyn. Should I contact my gyn/onc? If someone has multiple bad paps they may have a hyst but I already had a hyst. Can I have multiple procedures if I have multiple bad paps or does this cause damage to my vagina? I also had my vagina reconstructed so I am anxious to know where the bad cells came from.
