Sorry to bother yall, just a question about "freezing" growths.

As many of you know from my previous post I am "really worked up" right now worrying about a red elevated bump that just literally came up overnight.I have lifelong history of sunbathing for hours a day and tanning beds. Now,I cannot beleive just how stupid I was.I saw my derm Monday and he biopsied the red thing on my chest,I told him I was convinced it was nodular melanoma, the aggressive kind that just comes on suddenly. He claims he did not think it was,but admitted he did not know what it was.He said possibly basal cell or a "keratosis" that got inflamed from the sunburn a week before. He also, froze 2 spots on my legs and wants to watch one on my back side. One of the spots formed a blister and burst that night, leg is swollen and sore where it was,the other spot just seemed to have gotten much bigger since he sprayed it,what is normal? This is a new experience for me? best of luck to all of you.

Re: Sorry to bother yall, just a question about "freezing" growths.

I'm in the same boat.

My dermatologist froze a spot on my face, and a spot on my shoulder. The facial spot just became really red and stayed flat. The one on my shoulder blistered and bubbled up. he said that could happen.

Part of me just wishes he biopsied the darn thing right then and there. I hate stressing out waiting for this stuff.
