Intermittent moderate+ leg pain!

I have been getting sporatic 2-3 hour bursts of burning, very unpleasant pain in the back of my left knee. After these settle, I go back to normal, which is mild and burning.

I received an injury to my hamstring this january while ice skating, I believe that it was a simple sprain. I got three MRIs done, and it seemed I had a sprain and some fluidic buildup in that area. For the first 8 weeks after my injury, the pain was immense to me. With percocet I would rate it a 5-6 out of 10, and without it I was, for a while, really suffering. But with a splint it eventually got better to the point where now, it only hurts all the time on a mild level, except for these periods I mentioned. They seem to occur almost rhythmically, just about every two days. I have been in physical therapy for +2 months, and with these recent "attacks" I am growing my concerned and frankly am tired of the pain. What is your advice?
