Looking like a Burn Victim

Ok I have a few acne bumps here and there with pale skin so I decided to get rid of those little bumps with some Retin A micro. I have been on this for a week now. I am Lobster Red and Peeling. I look like burn victim plus I have the worst breakout I have had in 3 years. I am wondering will I ever see my beautiful pale even toned skin again? Sense I didnt have that much acne to begin with how long should it take to clear up and for the redness and peeling stop? Im so scared my skin will be forever RED! I am going to give it 6 weeks like it said and if the redness has not went away or I look worse i guess I will go back to my old benzyol Peroxide routine with Triaz at least it was making my pale face even toned and bleaching out the redness. I havent had ance this bad in 3 years, Im scared my face is going through kind of a micheal Jackson phase: Face had few acne and was nice looking. I wanted it to look better or perfect so I went through another treatment and now im afraid it will be worse. Well actually sense it has only been a week and i have all the peeling and its just starting to work and bring all the stuff to the surface I do look worse. I just wanna hide in the house. Any advice? or Anyone know if the burnt look will ever dissappear? or when does it usually? anyone here on Retin A micro?

Question Re: Retin A Micro

Hi! I'm on Retin-A Micro 0.04% treatment? It's working very well for me? How much medicine are you placing on your affected areas? What time of the day did you put it on? Respond back A.S.A.P., tell me what your doing and I'll see if I can help you out.

Re: Retin A Micro

I am on the 1% treatment. At first I was placing a large pea size *** or maybe 2 but now after I got all of this burning I now only apply a small pea size ammount. I use this at night 15mins after I wash my face with Neautragena Fresh Foaming Cleanser which is the most gentle cleanser I have ever used I can even use it near my eyes and it doesnt burn my face. I also use a cleocin T lotion 1% in the mornings with neutragena spf 15 mousterizer. My face is so burned it almost looks like I have a red stain on my face or something plus all the peeling and the zits.

The first think you should do is stop using the medicine right now and go to the derm. I know when I first got Retin-A Micro I over used the medicine, but I didn't have that kind of outbreak. My face just didn't get better, and I finally read the directions!!! Did you? . Make sure your not scrubbing your face when you wash it, just gently massage it, and when you dry it pat it dry. Do you put that lotion on at night too, because that might be causing the irritation too. And stop worrying so much and keep ya head up. No one can look as worse as Micheal Jackson !!!!

Re: Retin A Micro

My friend's Retin-A stories were similar to yours. They went through a horrendous period of intense peeling but their face looks brand new now. I never went through that peeling phase for some reason. Just make sure you use moisturizer.
