had the wrong surgury..what to do

i had surgury to repair a hydrocele two weeks ago monday.. when i had the mri it showed the problem in my right testical,,but i told them the pain was coming from the area above the right of my penis.. they basically ignored me and told me what was wrong.. the day of surgery all the swelling that i had gone initally to see the doctor was gone and i felt great (this happens bout once a year since i was 12)..well when he operated he found nothing,,no hydrocele or any thing, but removed the internal sac to maybe help.. now i need an operation to remove a cumminacable(sp) hydrocele.. the thing that gets me is i found out i had a worthless operation yesterday,,two weeks after i had the surgury,,is this normal????? do i need to consult a lawyer??? and i found it really wierd my check up visit was free considering i have no insurance.
