Lump on Cervix

A month after my last pap smear, I found a lump on my cervix. My doctor does not perform an internal examination during a pap so it was not detected. My husband seems to think it's been there forever however I have just noticed it now. The lump is probably 5-7 mm, and I can't really tell if it's hard or not. I'm just really worried.

All of my pap smears have come back fine. If there was something wrong, would the pap smear have detected it? Should I be worried? I am scheduled for my annual at the end of this month. Anyone?
