stiff swolen fingers?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I woke up this morning with swolen fingers. They were stiff too when I would close my hand. Then they would itch. What is this? I can't find much online about it at all.

For those not familiar-here are my problems...and have not been tot he doc yet.

iritis
canker sores
dry eye
styes
tired
achy joints
itchy hands and feet
hives in the sun
sinus infection once
odd rashes
eye twitching
nausea
constipation

and my other thing wrong....some sort of gum irritation....which i heard can cause systemic things.

Re: stiff swolen fingers?

Abbey,
I think we have all had a few of the things you mentioned at one time or another. The swelling could be a sympton of many things, to hard to guess at. But I can tell you that your teeth and gums need to be checked asap.
People let there teeth and gums go cause of fear or money or both. But
a lot of problems stem from this area. Floss your teeth everyday and use a
soft brush gently on your gums and teeth. If they are bleeding and swollen you need a dentist to check it out for you.

Your hand could be arthritis, it could be circulation, it could be nothing but get it checked for your sake. Not much help but something need attention before they get worse. Good luck.

Re: stiff swolen fingers?

Are you allergic to anything that you may have come into contact with? With arthritis mentioned in the last reply, be aware that some forms of arthritis are actually the causative agents of systemic difficulty. Definitely get it checked out by a professional as I am not one. See if putting some ice on it helps it out in the meanwhile. Also, try not to keep your fingers immobile...keep them moving if it doesn't cause too much discomfort. (just a suggestion)
