Does anyone know these statistics?

Hi everyone! I just caught the tail end of a world news cast that was talking about a drug that was available for people that have the aids virus in the Countries of Africa and the Carribean. Does anyone have an idea of what part/s of the Carribean that they would be referring to and what the statisitics are of the population that is infected? My girlfriends and I are wanting to plan a trip to Nassau (sp?) and Paradise Island but since hearing that to be real truthful really scares me senseless!!! I mean, when we shop, how do we know if what or who we are buying from is safe? I know you think that I'm being really paranoid, but I have such a great fear because they (the media) made it sound like that ALL of the Carribean has a massive problem with people with aids. Maybe this is all way off base on my thinking (which I HOPE it is) but the media can really worry people especially when they say something like that and don't point out any specific area of the country. Should I be concerned about traveling or shopping there?

I agree with the other poster, you need to educate your self about how HIV is transmitted. Also, Nassau is not in the Carribean, Its in the Bahamas. You may want to research that as well.
