Would this be ok?

I'm not quite sure where to post this question, so I'm going to post it here.

Would it be ok take an old Ultram tablet? It is a few years old.
Will it's action be decreased? Might it cause more side effects such as nausea than a new tablet would?

Expired drugs are usually not directly toxic, although they can, especially 3 years after expiration date, lose their potency. Many drugs, especially pills, last much longer than the expiration date on the bottle. However, deterioration may cause chemical changes which can cause dangerous reactions.

Personally I wouldn't take it. Alternatively, you could call a pharmacist and get their imput.
