Re: Really sore breasts

Hello.
I used to have very sore breasts when on a pill (microgynon) with too much estrogen in it.
After three months they were still very tender so I changed pills. Usually the side-effects should be gone after three months.. if not, you can decide whether to change pills or not.
I have changed to a low-dose pill and still have sore breasts most of the time. My doctor suggested taking vitamin B6 supplements... I am trying those, but I am not good at remembering to take it more than once per day.. but I think even that is helping a little.

I would wait and hope it gets better over the next month or so...

Re: Really sore breasts

I had very sore breasts when on bc and I waited three months as I was told, but nothing changed. It probably wasn't worth it for me to stay on it so long but I did as I was told. So in my experience, the effects did not wear off until I switched birth control. Now everything is great! This is not to say that it will be the same for you. My advice is that if you're uncomfortable, unhappy, and this pill is interferring with your life, try another brand. It can't hurt. Otherwise, you can stick it out and hope that it goes away. Good luck.

Re: Really sore breasts

Hey there! I'm on ortho as well and I went through the same thing when I first started my pills. I was maybe 2 or 3 months into them and I started getting really sore boobies. It sucks but it'll pass.

Re: Really sore breasts

I have been exactly the same and seemingly to much caffeine can affect your breasts too, i am still suffering but have been told to take a high level of evening primrose oil, to combat sore breasts, i am on 1300 mg a day at the moment.

thankyou jan
