I had a laparoscopy done May 7th for endometriosis. This was my 3rd experience with this kind of surgery in the last 10 years. I had my period May 8th-the day after surgery. It is due again anytime after Friday. I have been experiencing strange things over the last week...hot flashes/night sweats, frequent urination, nausea/vomiting, extreme pain in abdomen and back, sometimes bad cramping, sometimes the pain is bearable, sometimes I am totally miserable....all of these come and go and are not constant. The nausea/vomiting has been daily though. It does come and go...but that has been the only thing that has occured daily, aside from the frequent urination.
I called my GYN this am and talked with the nurse. She couldnt explain the nausea/vomiting, but said aside from that, that it sounded like it was a hormonal thing, body going through changes from the surgery. The other 2 laps that I had, I never went through anything like this. It was always normal. Have any of you had experiences like this after lap surgery??
The nurse said I could do a pregnancy test if I wanted, but she really felt it was hormonal and nothing else. I did do a test Monday morning, it was negative, although I knew it was too soon....so I am not sure whether I sure take another, or just wait and see. I just dont understand whats going on.
