Indigeston Again?

Just need some reassurance again. Last September, I posted about having an increase in indigestion that lasted about two weeks only to be replaced by another symptom. Now, I have had this indigestion problem back again for going on a week. Has anyone experienced this? Naturally, I feel that it might be stomach cancer or something. I know that my anxiety has increased but I'm not sure if it's because I feel so miserable with the indigestion and burping. Hope someone can help. Thank you in advanced.

Twanger, I'm a pro at stomach problems, anxiety and perimenopause. Yes, we have estrogen receptors in our stomachs, so yes, perimenopause can cause your stomach to go crazy. I have the indigestion on and off throughout the month. The only time it seems to be okay is when I'm on my period and for the week, then here we go again. I'm taking aciphex and you might want to talk to a gastro or internist about taking something so it doesn't make you more anxious. Alot of acid in our bodies can make us nervous.

Re: Indigeston Again?

Yes, my doctor told me this is a symptom of perimeno. Geez, whats next, right?? Anyways, she told me to try digestive enzymes that you can buy at any health food store. You take one before every meal. It saved me!! I took them for about two months, and once I started them I never had the indigestion. It started to kind of come back again about a month ago, and I started taking them again, and voila! It was gone. They do not affect you in any other way and there are no side effects so they are completely safe. Give them a try.

Yes, please tell us what brand you are using. This sounds interesting. I take one Nexium a day but lately, that does not seem to be doing the trick. I just don't know what is going on. I had this last year for about two weeks and it went away. It seems to be constant, not just after eating. Is that the way it is for you?
