Do you mean financial help for medical or living expenses? I would suggest starting at the county level and work your way up. Most people don't realize that there is financial help for many things on the county level. Many towns even offer financial assistance for certain things. Check out your city, county and state websites. There's a wealth of information there.
My son and I both have asthma and we haven't got money to purchase our meds (no insurance) so we go to our county clinic. The doctors there give us samples of
Advair so that cuts out about $400/mo in medication expenses. And it only costs me $25 each doctor visit. Every little bit helps.
