Question Hrt transdermal patch and taking lipitor

Is anyone on a patch and taking lipitor at the same time? . My breast have been extremely sore and I just use half a patch a week. I read on the information sheet that if you take oral birth control pills with Lipitor it increases the hormones. I would ask my doctor but he probably would not know.

My gyne has brought this up and even though I do not use hormones, I should be using a cholesterol lowering drug, but already doing too much, so don't feel like doing anymore. Lipitor can be taken with hormones, although estrogen can raise LDL's, they can be taken in the same day.

Also, the patch may make your breasts tender, this is not the first I've read or heard of this. The patch is a hormone.
