Peri Menupause

I'm 45 and not sure if I'm going into Peri Menupause. Hopefully someone can answer some of my questions. (First time on the board) Here's some of my symptoms inside tremors at bedtime Waking up right when I go to sleep trying to catch my breath. (Had a sleep study done) Nothing. This is been going on for about 2 years. Pain by my gall bladder. Which I had check out its not my gall bladder!! Light headedness. I get warm sensations not really hot flashes where I'm sweating.

Has anyone had any of these symptoms.

I have this and yes, it is very perimenopause. And I would say that you have it with anxiety. It is the anxiety that is causing your body to tremble, it's like a vibrating machine, I know. The breath too is anxiety. Try to research on breathing from the diaphragm, this will help you greatly. Everything begins with the breath. Now this can be an on and off thing or a continuous thing with perimenopause, so I suggest you find vitamins that work for you, read as much as you can, a good book is called "The Pause" and it will go through everything you are feeling. Also, read up on anxiety and find ways to not pay attention to your body, cause your body will keep trying to make you feel anxious and what you have then is a vicious circle, LOL Anything else I can do to help, let me know.

Re: Peri Menupause

Hi Andrea,
Thanks for the info. I just went to the doctors and he said there's no way I'm menopause, or peri menopause, but why would my body do all these crazy things all of a sudden.
Thanks again.

First of all, what type of doc did u see? Also, your age alone makes you perimenopause even if you weren't feeling a thing in your body. The answer to your question is that anxiety causes these body tremors. But you are perimenopause. I'm not a doctor, but your age alone identifies it. It begins at the age of 35 when ovulation doesn't occur as frequently, but definitely at age 40! And you're 45!

Re: Peri Menupause

Another point here, do not rely on all docs to diagnose perimenopause. Most don't believe in it. Generally, a women gyne is more supportive, one that is older who knows what it's all about. Even a female endo I saw regarding my thyroid said perimenopause with anxiety and that it can be real rough some times.
