Anyone tried the Revostyler? I'm referring to the newest model that has a blow dryer built into it. I believe your hair has to be damp/towel dried or completely dry to use it. I'm considering ordering one for my daughter. She has very long (to her bottom) layered hair. She is getting it cut tomorrow, will probably cut 5-6 inches off the length. Does this product work well, primarily for the layers around the face? Any comments from anyone who has this product or knows someone who does would be appreciated.

I have not tried the latest model, but my experience with the first 'edition' two years ago, I did not find the Revostyler to my liking! The bristles did not seem to hold my hair tight enough to the rod for the 'straightening' action to work. My hair kept coming loose.
My hair never turned out remotely like the simplicity and ease they show in the informercial... so I sent it back! Perhaps the newer model is improved in that area...?

I thought it looked too simple in the infomercial as well. I'm concerned about it not holding onto the hair well enough and based on your experience that seems to be the case. I appreciate your input. Maybe someone with the newer model will come along with their experience as well.

I haven't tried the new model, but I can tell you, I love the old model! In fact, I'm looking to purchase another one. It works wonderfully on my hair (shoulder length, thick and frizzy/wavy). However, it tangled up my daughter's hair (much longer and frizzier) and she hates using it, she uses a flat iron which she loves, and I hate!
