Why does my tummy make so much noise?

Hiya everyone. If any of you can help me, please. Basically whenever i lay down in bed at night, either flat on my back or on my left side, my tummy makes the most wierdest of noises. Its not a hungry growling noise, its more like a squelsh or something like that. Sounds silly i know! Basically its very embarrassing and annoying because although my partner doesnt really mind, i find i am embarrassed in bed, and when i have job inteviews its unbearable. I find that if i drink a lot of tea or coffee that the noises also seem to be louder. This happens every day when i go to bed. If i put my hand on my tummy i can literally feel air/gas/movement going on inside.

Any ideas people or advice on anything i can try, just [ removed ]

Cheers for reading this as well.

Shauny

Re: Why does my tummy make so much noise?

Hi, I also have stomach/bowel noises. It can be quite embarrassing. I have had it for about a year now. Sorry I don't have any answers, just wanted to let you know that you are not alone! Take care!

Re: Why does my tummy make so much noise?

Hi,

It's gas. You might want to try acidophilus on a regular basis. Sometimes foods cause more gas, as well for the peristalsis to be more active. Stress can also do that. Do you by chance consume products with aspartame? It's as well a gastro irritant. Sometimes just adjusting food intake can make a difference.
Do you eat breakfast? Going long periods of time without food can cause gas "pockets"....just a few thoughts.
