Storing nail polish

Is there a right way to store nail polish so that it doesn't bubble up as it's drying on the nails? Mine always look terrible because of it. Tell me what I'm doing wrong!

Re: Storing nail polish

I used to store mine in the freezer. Don't know if it actually helped or not but I had heard it was the thing to do. You could try it. Other than that keep it in the dark. Certain lights cause polish to change colors. Good Luck!

Re: Storing nail polish

I always thought the bubbles were caused by applying the polish too thickly and/or from not waiting for the first coat to dry completely before adding a second coat.

Re: Storing nail polish

Greyblur,
I remember my grandmother always putting her polish in the fridge too. Her nails always looked good. I think I'll start doing that.

Blue-eyedBelle,
I'm definitely guilty of painting it on too thick and not waiting for the first coat to dry. I'm just going to make sure I have enough time to really make sure my nails look good so that I don't have to rush through coats.

Thanks for the replies!

Re: Storing nail polish

Store your polish in a cool place away from any heaters or vents, and away from sunlight- when you polish- make sure that you are doing it in a cool area- any humidity or heat in the air will make it sticky
