Re: I still wet the bed!

Have you sought medical advice as of yet? If so, what tests were done, are you on meds, etc?
What other disorders do you have? Are you suffering from anxiety and/or depression?....

Have you tried any exercises such as keigel (sp)?

Re: I still wet the bed!

Has this been going on ever since you were a child,or has this just suddenly occured?if this hads been a pretty much non stop problem since childhood, you need to see a urologist so he can find out the cause. If this just came out of no where and is a more all of the sudden type occurance, you need to see your doc for a referral for an MRI to find out if it is somehow related to nerves in your spinal cord.It probably wouldn't hurt to have the MRI anyway to see if there maybe is some type of congenital deformity going on inside the cord.I know i had an MRI to see where my herniated disc was and just purely by chance, they discovered what is called a cavernous hemangioma that was lurking inside my cord at the C-7,T-1 level.I never knew it was even there until it just happened to show up on an MRI for something else.i think that an MRI would be a really good starting point for you to find a possible reason for this occurance.Ever since I had a surgery to have the cavernoma removed, I too suffer with nocturnal incontenance caused by nerve damage.i know it really sucks to have to deal with.I hope they can find a treatable cause for your problem.please keep me posted,K?Good luck, marcia

Re: I still wet the bed!

short term fixes, ask a doctor about imipramine. There are also certain excersises he should suggest, there is another med called ddavp but the side effects are worse than what they prevent, it is also usually only used with a certain form of diabetes. Not a diabetic are u? R U too embarrassed to see your doctor? (no offense intended, but u know it happens.. ) and u know this part, stay away from anything that will act as a diuretic.

btw, do u wake up from any particular kind of dream and then noticed it happened?

umm, there is also a national center for bedwetting.. it's not something that is a rare occurance, and once all the organic issues are counted out, the issues of the mind will need to be looked at..

take care and good luck.

Re: I still wet the bed!

i agree re imipramine, a small dose calms the bladder and often helps a lot
various alarms can also wake you when you start to urinate

some wet the bed when dreaming they are at a toilet

bedwetting was thought of as a psychological problem but now is generally thought of as a physical problem and sometimes inherited
