Arrow !?Smokey Eyes?!

I'm 16 and my brother's wedding is July 27th and I'm one of the bridesmaids. I was wondering how to do the smokey eye thing with eyeshadow and eyeliner. What colors do I use and where do I put them. I don't want it to look too gothic because it's a wedding! I just want my eyes to really stand out! My eyes are green if that matters....

I've got green eyes too and here's what works great for me. Revlon Wet/Dry Shadow Violet Haze. Use the pink shade to highlight, put the purple that's right below the pink on your eyelid (second darkest shade). Use small end of the applicator to line the outside 2/3 of your lower lid with the darkest shade. Do the same for your upper lid. You get that "smokey" look and the green color really pops right out.

I agree with Nancy; with your green eyes, a smoky violet shade would be perfect. I have green eyes, too, and I find this shade looks best with mine

When you're using darker colors to achieve a smoky effect, you might want to consider using your your fingertip to apply the color because you have more control over how much/what contours you're applying. Try to keep the violet only from your lash line to just a little above your eye socket.

Hope this helps Have fun at the wedding!
