Question Bronzer question~ allergies?

Does anyone know, or has anyone ever experienced an ' allergic reaction ' to any bronzers? I am curious because I have been using make~up for years, since my teens, and now I am in my 30's, and have never had any problems at all with any make up whatsoever. Recently, however~ I bought some really good bronzer from 'MAC'. And that is a good brand. It SEEMS ,I am not positive, but it seems like since I have been using it....I started "itching" really bad! I only put it on my face of course, it is for face only~ but I was thinking, like if you brush some on by, or around the nose, could it possibly be like you are breathing it in....and if it is something I am allergic to , or sensitve, be causing my skin to "itch" intensely all over my body, and especially at night while trying to sleep. Sounds kind of weird, but anyone else ever have this?

Re: Bronzer question~ allergies?

Check to see if it contains bismuth oxychloride - that is a known irritant that can cause itching in some people. It is used in some cosmetics - but you may not have encountered it before - or it may be something totally different causing your itching.
