Genetics again play a large role in whether you are prone to stretch marks or not, but you can help it from the very beginning when you discover you are pg is to apply a thin coat of Virgin Olive Oil at night and rub it thoroughly in(it does absorb)and during the day I used cocoa butter cream(Palmers)and it just worked for me, honest, I'm a grandmother now and I never had stretch marks on the belly but I did on my thighs which I never used it on, guess I didn't think I'd get any there. My 2 daughters both used the same and one did get some stretch marks and other didn't. It was handed down from the great grandmothers.
