Post Unruly Eyebrows

I plucked my eyebrows the other day(I was trying to get more of an arch) and I think I overdid it. When I looked at myself in the mirror there seemed to be an awful lot of space between my eyebrows and my eyes (and my eyebrows look crooked ) Does anyone know how big the space should be? I know there isn't a certain limit but the gap between my eye and eyebrow seem rather large but I don't know if thats just me. I want to get my eyebrows professionally done but I'm a little scared. How good are the pros? I know its their job but I'm still scared they'll mess up and make me look hideous. And one more thing, where do I go to get my eyebrows done? Some sort of salon? Pls help...

There are many measurements as to how you should shape your eyebrows. I found this information on iVillage:

In general, the beginning of the brow should be aligned with the center of the nostril below it and extend a bit past the outer corner of the eye. The arch should fall over the outside third of the eye. Tweezing too far in from the inner edge of the eyebrow will make your eyes look smaller; plucking too much from the bottom will make you look perpetually surprised. If you have doubts, leave the hair unplucked. Be sure to tweeze in the direction that the hair grows and pluck only one hair at a time.

Hope this helps!

Maddie,
Go to a salon and get them WAXED! It only stings for a minute and it only takes a minute and it is inexpensive~!

Cool

I agree that waxing is the easiest solution. Do you have a regular salon that you go to? If so, chances are all the girls there know how to wax eyebrows.

Take care!

i get my eyebrows plucked by my friend shes on a hair & beauty course and she knows her stuff, if you want a professional look i wouldnt recommend to do it yourself get it done at a salon...i always get my friend to pluck them in the shape of a suprised/frowning expression i love it http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/bang.gif
