Internal Shaking

Hi Everyone:

I Think I Have Symptoms Of Hypoglycemia But I Am Not For Sure. I Figured I Would Ask The Experts.

Here Lately And Not Everyday In The Evenings Around 6:00 I Get To Feeling Real Shaky And Trembling Inside. If I Eat Something In A Little While It Goes Away. I Have Tried To See If There Is A Pattern Here But There Is Not. Sometimes It Happens And Sometimes It Don't. It Is A Scary Feeling And I Know I Have To Eat Something Quickly. It Is Kind Of Like When You Haven't Eaten And You Get Weak And Shaky But I Am Not Hungry. I Try To Eat 3 Meals A Day And Have A Snack In The Morning And Afternoon. I Try Not To Eat Alot Of Sugars Or White Starches.

I Do Have High Blood Pressure And Take Clonidine For That And I Also Were The Vivelle *** .05mg Patch For Estrogen.

Does This Sound Like Hypoglycemia? I Don't Know What To Make Of It.

Re: Internal Shaking

One of my biggest gripes as a diabetic is having to eat when I am not hungry!! It really does sound like you are having lows since you say that eating makes you feel better.

You need to go in and talk with your Dr about this. They can give you tips like eating high protein snacks to help you deal with this. They can also rule out any other condition that might be causing this.

In the meantime, it would be a good idea to carry a high carb snack with you everywhere you go. You can make it candy or tablets just for raising your blood sugar called Glucotabs. Good luck

Re: Internal Shaking

if you get some bloodsugar test strips and a finger pricker then you can test your bloodsugar level when you are shaky, you dont need a machine, test strips are available where you match the colors

Re: Internal Shaking

Iam pre diabetic and I know even if I am not hungry I still have to eat. I find one of the easiest things to do is try meal replacements. You have to be carefol though with meal replacements because soem of them have an awful mount of sugar in them. I use glucerna it is made for diabetics and it slowly realeases sugars instead of giving you a sugar jolt. Also try to stay away from alot of carbs because they turn into sugars quickly by the body and also spike blood sugar levels.
