Post Awful looking sunburn on my chest/neck, help!

A few days ago I went tanning in one of those tanning beds. I know i burn easily so I purposley took the bed with the least strength in it and I only went for 15 minutes, needless to say I still burned. the problem is that I didn't burn evenly, I have red patches all over my back but what I'm more worried about is my chest and neck. In the center of my neck I have a huge red patch and I have little red patches all over my chest and they itch. The worst thing is that I have a HUGE family get together on Sunday and make-up won't cover the blotches, not very well anyway. My question is what can I do to minimize these blotches as much as possible. any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Aloe Vera gel wont cover it but it will make it feel better, and heal faster. You did serious damage to your skin. I wouldnt put any makeup on it until it is fully healed.
I use self tanning creams. They really work well and no skin damage. Neutrogena makes a real good tinted one so you can see where it goes. Wait until your skin heals then exfoliate well and give it a shot.

Gummi, I'd do the aloe vera thing and plan to wear something that covers your back and chest on Sunday so you don't have to worry about how it looks. If you're peeling, makeup is gonna look awful on it.
