Sweating.....

Hi im new to this board and i have a question.....I'm 16 and i dont know if this is common in teenagers but i always sweat....I could be sitting watching tv and i will sweat like i was out running a marathon.I'm not a "hefty" person im 5'7 110lbs. so i dont understand why i sweat so much.....im getting to be embarrased about so i've started wearing two shirts so i dont sweat through my shirts.....ive also noticed that when i sweat my pants will get wet in the back like where i sit down and that is the most embarrassing thing ever to me....can somebody please help me to try and stop this!!!!!

Your best option since you are young is have your parents take you for a good physical. Some physical ailments do cause profuse swetting which could be your case. Some people on the other hand just sweat all the time naturally. It is best to rule out anything serious. Sometimes people who are overweight tend to sweat more as well, diet maybe could be a cause, do you eat a lot of salt? It's really hard to be for sure, so again, tell your parents or ask that you be seen by your general doctor for a physical. Besides, it's just always to get a good physical once a year even if you feel great!
