He could be! A lot of the medications that kids with ADD or ADHD take have the adverse reactions that they would have it they were given to an average child.

It was a put-down for sure. But, you have to do "the dance." Doctors have the power and they like to exercise it. I'm pretty surprised he gave it to you.

Amphetamines have been a plague in the past (at least as the government sees it) At one point. America was a nation of speed freaks since you could buy it at the corner drug store. Japan, Germany (Hitler was a speed freak) countless countries have had problems with speed. Today Yaba in Thailand is used by students starting in 4th and 5th grade.

Dexedrine is a pure form of amphetamine almost impossible to get. It's what the US Military call "Go" pills used in combat to this day. Did your drug store have it in stock? I don't want to take it - it's just too addictive so you should be careful.

The prescribed dosage is very small. My dr said that a person who wanted to get high would several times the typical 5-15mg that is normally prescribed.

All I can say is, it is what it is. You can't make an omlette without eggs? If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck?

Truthfully, it's a little speed. Not enough to get one euphoric, unless the dosages need to be increased over time due to tolerance, which can happen even after years on the drug.

Euphoria(high) can also be described as simply a feeling of well-being or extreme happiness, and can make some people more aggressive (not in a good way sometimes). Tolerance/withdrawals or quick metabolism of drug can be responsible for depression, moodiness and irritability.
