Quick water question

Hello.. I'm 16 years old, and slightly overweight. I'm hoping to start changing myself by eating healthier and doing more cardio, but I have a question. I have thinning bones (long story), and though it's good to drink water, I still want to drink a lot of milk. Is milk bad for you if you're trying to lose weight? Thank for your time!

Re: Quick water question

Well, that all depends on what TYPE of milk you drink. If you drink whole or even 2%, the calories will add up. If you can, switch to skim. It's lower calorie, has no fat, and you get the same amount of calcium and nutrients.

Re: Quick water question

Try taking a calcium supplement as well but skim milk is best, it is all that I drink along with water any after about a week you get use to the taste.

Re: Quick water question

A better option in my opinion--nice compromise is 1% milk. I simply cannot stand the taste of skim. Not everyone gets used to the taste!

Re: Quick water question

there is a 1/2% although i have never tried it and ive only found it in harris teater. but i think going down gradually works too. i dont drink milk much at all but 1% isnt all that bad.
