Does this sound like allergies or somthing worse?

I just have a few quick questions on what u think, see my doctor stated about 2 years ago i do have some air born allergies, and i know they are mainly in door allergies, but latly i have not been feeling as well, this including numbness in my fingers joints and numbness on the top of my head that has lasted almost 3 day now which is worrying me. Also my ears have this watery sensation that passes through them, and a few days ago when i cleaned my ears there was a very small amount of the blood on the tip....it may be just an infections or somthing.....but im conserned about this, and just wondering what u think, I have booked a doctors appointment but its not for a week or so....

Hmmm...To me none of the stuff you described sounds like allergies, except the ear stuff...maybe.

Have you taken any drugs recently, such as Avelox, Levaquin or Cipro? Any others?

The blood sounds like an infection, and you should go see an ENT about that immediately. The numbness could be anxiety, or something else. You may have to see a neurologist about that.

Shady: keep us updated. Ask the ENT very direct `Where is this fluid coming from &
the blood'? I have had yrs. of watery earpops w/ wet clear draining & once a mo. I
have a dried blood q-tip. Been to 16 specialists over many yrs. & all yell abt qtip use,
like we jam it in! Then I'm told `Ears don't work that way'! At 2:00am I start popping
out wet ears till I dry them out. I've begged & even took bloody qtip to appt. Ea. one
said I'm causing problem frm qtip. In fact, I hadn't used 1 in 3 mo. 1 Dr. said it was
sweat. I know I have a hole in drum because I can swallow & suck in air. Dr's say if
I had perforated drum to release moisture to canal, I'd have agonizing earpain. I don't
have earaches so I must have nerve damage from yrs. of un-dx'd condition. Don't get
the brush off. Ask where the fluid is coming from then. Most likely, the numbness in
fingers is frm the upper cervical spine w/ impingement. That same spot CAN interrupt
spinal fluid to skull base & cause an ear spasm. ENT's don't know nerve conduction
well, & Neuro's don't know ears well. I've used antibiotics, drops, etc. Hopefully it's
a minor infection & cleared quickly. I researched & connected dots when my right
fingers became numb & tips would stay indented for several minutes. Allergies cause
inflammation but you'd know it! Please makes some notes to ask doc & get back?

I recently saw a neurologist and she checked my fingers for numbness and flexibility. If you do decide to see specialist, you may want to meet with a neurologist. Fortunately you're going to the doctor soon. That's good to hear. Best wishes to you.
