Red face Should I be concerned?

I went to the doctor today for a follow up on some other unrelated issue when I mentioned that I was having this sharp pain under my left breast that spread upwards to the side and wraped around through my back. She ordered an EKG just to make sure that it was nothing. She noticed that one of the peaks was actually inverted and has ordered an eco and a halter monitor. This pain is usually triggered if I overeat but not always because of that. Sometimes I may not even be doing anything and I start to feel the pain. I occassionally feel short of breath but I work out and have never experienced pain because of that. Soemtimes, deep breathing will also trigger it. I am a 28 yr. old female with no history of heart disease and am otherwise healthy. I am currently about 20 pounds overweight. I am starting to become alarmed becuase I was using phentermine for weight loss on and off for about 6 years. The most I used it consistently was 1 month. After that it was only sporadically. COuld significant damage have been caused in that time? I had a treadmill stress eco a year ago and that came back normal. Can anyone else relate?

Re: Should I be concerned?

That sounds very similar to pain I have been experiencing lately. Not sure what it could be, but I am going to the doc tomorow to get it checked it out.

Re: Should I be concerned?

If deep breathing can cause it, it is not cardiac related I have been told.

Cool Re: Should I be concerned?

Sounds like your doctor is just being thorough in checking you out. That is good. If there is anything there they will find it. I wouldn't worry about anything until I had to. It could just be reflux or muscle pain.
